Flights, visa, Nusuk registration, Qurbani, hotels, all transport in Saudi Arabia, Mina and Arafat, Ziyarat, meals and guidance. There are no extras to pay once you have booked, apart from your own spending and travel insurance.

How much does Hajj from the UK cost in 2027?

Hajj from the UK costs from £6,495 per person with Islamic Travel, based on four person sharing a room. Our 5-star non-shifting package is £9,095. Across the UK market, most Hajj packages for 2027 cost between £6,000 and £10,000.

Four things set the price:

1. The hotel. How many stars it has and how far it is from the Haram.
2. Shifting or non-shifting. Non-shifting costs more because your Makkah room is kept for you during the days of Hajj, when demand is highest. All our packages are non-shifting.
3. Room sharing. Four sharing is the cheapest. Twin and single rooms cost more.
4. Length of stay. 16 nights is the shortest we offer. 22 nights is the longest.

Some costs are the same for everyone and are set by Saudi Arabia. These include visa and service fees, the Mina tent, transport during Hajj, and Qurbani. That is why no honest UK Hajj package can go below a certain level.

Is there such a thing as a cheap Hajj package from the UK?

Not really, and you should be careful of anything that looks like one. Fixed Saudi costs for visa, Mina, transport and Qurbani mean a genuine Hajj package from the UK in 2027 is unlikely to cost less than about £5,500 per person. Prices well below that usually mean one of the following.

• It is a shifting package. You leave your Makkah hotel during the days of Hajj and stay somewhere basic, often in Azizia. Your room is not kept for you.
• The hotel is a long way from the Haram. You spend a lot of time on shuttle buses.
• Something is missing. Qurbani, meals, Ziyarat or transfers are extras.
• The price is not real. Some agencies advertise a low starting price that nobody can actually book.

We choose to sell only non-shifting packages. They cost more, but you keep your room, your luggage and your rest during the hardest days of the journey. If your budget is tight, the cheapest way to travel with us is our 19-night 3-star package at £6,495 with four sharing, booked early.

Shifting or non-shifting Hajj: what is the difference?

In a shifting Hajj package, you check out of your Makkah hotel before the days of Hajj and stay in basic accommodation, then check in again afterwards. In a non-shifting package, you keep the same room for the whole trip. All Islamic Travel packages are non-shifting.

Non-shifting matters most on the days of Hajj. You go to Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah, then come back to Makkah for the Tawaf and the stoning days. With a non-shifting package, your room, your bed and your bags are waiting for you each time you return. With a shifting package, you carry your things with you and rest wherever there is space.

For families, older pilgrims and anyone who finds walking hard, non-shifting makes a real difference. That is why we only offer it.

Your hotels in Makkah and Madinah

Our 3-star packages use clean, simple hotels a short shuttle ride or a 10 to 15 minute walk from the Haram. Our 5-star package puts you around ten minutes' walk from the Haram in a hotel such as the Pullman ZamZam Grand Suites in Makkah, and the Dar Al Hijra InterContinental or Millennium Al Aqeeq in Madinah. Other hotels we use include the Crowne Plaza and the Anjum.

The exact hotel depends on what is available when you book. Your written quote always names the hotel and says how far it is from the Haram.

We can arrange ground-floor rooms, wheelchair access and special meals. Tell us what you need when you book.

What happens at Mina and Arafat

During the days of Hajj you stay in a tent at Mina, spend the Day of Arafah at Arafat, and spend the night at Muzdalifah. We arrange all of this for you. You travel with your group and your group leader throughout.

• Mina. Air-conditioned tents. Meals provided. Our tents are 5 min walk from the Jamarat.
• Arafat. Transport from Mina in the morning of 9 Dhul Hijjah. Shade, water and meals at Arafat.
• Muzdalifah. Transport after sunset. You spend the night in the open, as every pilgrim does.
• Back to Mina. For the stoning days. Then back to your Makkah hotel for the farewell Tawaf.

Your group leader and our guides are with you the whole time. We hold a full briefing in the UK before you travel so you know what to expect on each day.

Hajj from London, Birmingham, Manchester and the rest of the UK

We fly from London, Birmingham and Manchester. If you live elsewhere, we book your connecting flight to one of these airports on the same ticket, so you only book once.

• London (Heathrow and Gatwick). The most flights to Jeddah. Easy for London and the South East. You can also come and plan your Hajj with us at our office in Stratford.
• Birmingham. Direct Hajj departures for the Midlands. Popular with pilgrims from Birmingham, Coventry, Wolverhampton and Leicester.
• Manchester. Hajj departures for the North West and Yorkshire. Manchester, Bolton, Blackburn, Oldham, Preston, Leeds and Bradford.
• Scotland, Wales, the North East and everywhere else. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Newcastle and Bristol pilgrims connect through London or Manchester. We book the whole journey together.

How to book Hajj 2027 from the UK

UK pilgrims register for Hajj through Nusuk, the official Saudi platform, and travel with an approved provider. Islamic Travel handles your Nusuk registration, your documents and your visa. You choose your package, pay a deposit, and we do the rest.

1. Choose your package. Call us on 0203-970-4500, message us on WhatsApp, or come to our office in Stratford. Tell us who is travelling and which airport suits you.
2. Pay your deposit. £500 per person through our secure, ATOL-protected portal. You can pay the balance in instalments before travel.
3. Nusuk registration. We register you on Nusuk and confirm your package when registration opens.
4. Documents and visa. You get your vaccine and medical certificate. We submit your Hajj visa.
5. Training day. You attend our pre-departure briefing in London. We go through every day of the trip.
6. Travel. We meet you in Saudi Arabia and stay with your group until you fly home.

Who travels with you

Every Islamic Travel Hajj group has a group leader and guides who stay with you for the whole journey. They speak English, Urdu, Bengali, Arabic. Our guides are M Ali, who have led 10 Hajj groups between them.

Before you travel, we hold a training day in London covering every day of Hajj, what to pack, and what to expect at Mina. During the trip, there is a lecture every day and someone from our team you can call at any time.

Rules for Hajj 2027

• Age. Pilgrims must be at least 12 years old. There is no upper age limit.
• Vaccine. You need the MenACWY meningitis vaccine at least ten days before travel, with a certificate.
• Medical certificate. A medical fitness certificate from your GP is required.
• Polio. Pilgrims travelling on some passports, including Pakistani passports, need a polio vaccination certificate. We will tell you if this applies to you.
• Visa. You must have a Hajj visa. A tourist visa does not allow Hajj.
• Women. Women can perform Hajj without a mahram. We arrange suitable rooms and group travel for women pilgrims.
• Passport. At least six months' validity from your return date, with two blank pages.

Can I fly from Birmingham or Manchester? 

Yes. We have Hajj departures from London, Birmingham and Manchester. From other cities we book a connecting flight on the same ticket.

How do I book Hajj 2027 from the UK? 

Choose a package, pay a deposit of £500, and send us a copy of your passport. We register you on Nusuk, submit your visa and send you your itinerary. You attend our training day in London before you travel.

When do I need to pay? 

A deposit of £500 per person when you book. The balance by before travel. You can pay in instalments before then.

Are your Hajj packages ATOL protected? 

Yes. Islamic Travel holds ATOL 12192. If we could not provide your trip, the ATOL scheme would refund you or bring you home. You get an ATOL Certificate when you book. Check that everything is listed on it.

What are the age and health rules? 

Pilgrims must be at least 12 years old. You need the MenACWY vaccine at least ten days before travel and a medical fitness certificate. Some passports also need a polio certificate.

Can I perform Hajj on a tourist visa? 

No. You need a Hajj visa. We arrange it as part of your package.

Can a woman perform Hajj without a mahram? 

Yes. Current rules allow it. We arrange suitable rooms and women travel as part of the group.

Why is Hajj so much more expensive than Umrah? 

Saudi Arabia limits the number of pilgrims, so demand is far higher than supply during Hajj. Government fees, the Mina tents, transport during the days of Hajj and Qurbani all add fixed costs that Umrah does not have. Hotels charge their highest rates of the year.

How early should I book? 

As early as you can. UK places are set by the Saudi quota and the hotels nearest the Haram go first. Booking now secures your place, your hotel and the current price.
