Umrah packages from across the UK
We arrange Umrah from every major UK city, with flights from your nearest airport. London, Birmingham and Manchester have the most direct options to Jeddah and Madinah; other cities connect through these hubs or via the Gulf and Istanbul.
London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton): The widest choice and the most direct flights, with Saudia and British Airways flying straight to Jeddah and Madinah. Our office is in Stratford, East London, so London pilgrims are welcome to call in and plan in person.
Birmingham (BHX): Direct flights to Jeddah with Saudia, plus competitively priced one-stop routes with Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways and Emirates. A popular departure point for pilgrims across the Midlands.
Manchester (MAN): Direct flights to Jeddah with Saudia, and one-stop options through Istanbul, Doha and Dubai. Convenient for the North West, including Bolton, Blackburn and Preston.
Leeds, Bradford and Yorkshire: Most pilgrims fly from Manchester or via London, with connecting options from Leeds Bradford. We'll find the shortest, best-value routing for your dates.
Glasgow and Edinburgh: Scottish pilgrims travel on connecting flights through London, Istanbul, Doha or Dubai. We arrange the full journey so you book once and travel on a single itinerary.
Other UK cities: Wherever you are — Cardiff, Newcastle, Bristol, Belfast and beyond — we book the most practical route to the holy cities and handle your visa, hotels and transfers the same way. Just tell us your nearest airport.
Every package above includes return flights, your Umrah visa, Nusuk permit help, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, and transfers — whichever UK city you fly from.
How to avoid Umrah scams and spot a genuine agency
Only book with a UK agency that has a real ATOL number you can check yourself on the CAA website. If they take your money but never give you an ATOL Certificate, your booking is not protected.
This is the part most pilgrims worry about, and they are right to. Saudi Arabia tightened its rules in 2026 and suspended a number of agencies for breaking them. Some "agents" on social media take a deposit and disappear. Here is how to protect yourself before you pay anyone:
- Check the ATOL number. Ours is 12192. Go to caa.co.uk, type the number in, and confirm the company name matches. Do this for any agency, not just us.
- Ask for the ATOL Certificate in writing. A genuine agency sends it. If your flights, hotels and transfers are not all listed on it, the package is not fully protected.
- Avoid WhatsApp-only or Instagram-only "agents." No office, no licence, no protection.
- Be careful with prices that look too cheap. If one quote is far below everyone else, ask what has been left out.
- Pay through a secure card or bank channel, never cash to a personal account.
We are a registered UK company (Travixum Ltd, company number 13555073, trading as Islamic Travel) with a real office you can visit in Stratford.
What "all-inclusive Umrah Packages" really include (and what it doesn't)
Our all-inclusive packages cover flights, visa, hotels in both cities and transfers. Travel insurance, the MenACWY vaccine and most meals are usually extra. We tell you exactly what is and isn't included in writing before you pay.
The word "all-inclusive" is used loosely in this industry, so here is the honest breakdown.
Included in every package:
- Return flights from your nearest UK airport
- Umrah visa processing
- Help registering your Nusuk permit
- Hotel in Makkah and hotel in Madinah, near the Haram
- Airport transfers and transport between the two cities
- Support from our UK team before and during your trip
Usually not included (so you can budget for it):
- Travel insurance (we strongly recommend it and can advise)
- MenACWY meningitis vaccine (required by Saudi Arabia)
- Most meals, unless your package says breakfast is included
- Your personal spending, gifts and Ziyarat extras
- Optional guided Ziyarat tours on some budget packages
When you get a quote from us, you get the exact hotel names, the distance from the Haram, and a clear included/not-included list. No surprises at the airport.
How much does an Umrah package cost from the UK?
Short answer: a 7-night Umrah package starts from around £249 for 3-star, £279 for 4-star and £339 for 5-star, per person. Your final price depends on the month you travel, how long you stay, your hotel, and how early you book.
Five things move the price up or down:
- The season. Ramadan and school holidays cost the most. Off-peak months cost the least.
- Hotel star rating and distance from the Haram. Closer and higher-rated means more expensive.
- Length of stay. 7 nights is cheapest, 14 nights costs more but the price per night often drops.
- How early you book. Booking 2 to 4 months ahead almost always beats last-minute prices.
- How many of you travel. Per-person cost usually falls for families and groups sharing rooms.
The cheapest way to do Umrah is an off-peak 3-star trip booked a couple of months ahead. The most expensive is a last-minute 5-star trip in Ramadan. Most of our families land somewhere in the middle.
Which package is right for you? 3, 4 and 5-star compared
The main difference between our 3, 4 and 5-star packages is hotel quality and how far you walk to the Haram. What's covered in the package stays the same.
3-star (from £249pp). Clean, comfortable economy hotels, usually a short walk or shuttle from the Haram. Good for first-time pilgrims and tight budgets.
4-star (from £279pp). Closer to the Haram, more space, better facilities. Our most popular choice for families.
5-star (from £339pp). Top hotels within a 1 to 2 minute walk of the Haram, including names like the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, Fairmont Makkah, Madinah Hilton, Dar Al Taqwa and Dar Al Iman.
If you are travelling with elderly relatives or young children, the shorter walk of a 4 or 5-star hotel can be worth the extra cost. We will be honest with you about which one fits your group.
When is the best and cheapest time to go for Umrah?
The cheapest and quietest months are outside Ramadan and Hajj, especially the weeks after Ramadan and the autumn. Ramadan is the most rewarding, but the busiest and most expensive.
The month you choose changes both the price and how crowded it is:
- Cheapest and quietest: the months after Ramadan (Shawwal), before Hajj season (Dhul-Qa'dah), and the autumn. Lower demand, lower prices, smaller crowds.
- Busiest and dearest: Ramadan, school holidays (December, Easter, February to May half-terms), and the run-up to Hajj.
- Cheap but very hot: June to August. The Saudi summer often hits the low 40s°C. Think carefully if you are bringing children or older relatives.
Book Ramadan 4 to 6 months ahead to get the better hotels before they sell out. For off-peak trips, 2 to 3 months is usually enough.
Umrah visa and Nusuk in 2026, explained simply
You need two things to perform Umrah. A visa to enter Saudi Arabia, and a Nusuk permit to perform the rituals. We arrange the visa and help you register your Nusuk permit.
This is the part that confuses most people, so here it is in plain terms.
The visa lets you into the country. The Nusuk permit lets you worship. Both are required in 2026, and they are separate. Your visa alone will not get you into the Mataf around the Kaaba or into the Rawdah in Madinah. The Nusuk permit does that.
A few key rules for UK pilgrims right now:
- You must book your hotel before you get the visa. Since June 2025, Saudi rules require a confirmed accommodation booking logged on the Nusuk system before your visa is approved. Because your package includes hotels, we handle this for you.
- You usually cannot self-apply for the traditional Umrah visa from the UK. It is arranged through a licensed agency like us. (UK citizens may also use a Saudi tourist eVisa, and we can advise which route suits you.)
- Visa validity depends on the visa type. An Umrah visa can be valid for up to 90 days, but the exact length depends on the visa you travel on. We confirm yours before you go.
- Women can perform Umrah without a Mahram. Women of any age can now travel, stay in hotels and perform Umrah independently.
- You need the MenACWY meningitis vaccine and proof of it. Get this from your GP or a travel clinic before you fly.
- Passport must have at least 6 months left, plus recent photos.
We check and submit your paperwork, and we guide you step by step through downloading the Nusuk app and registering your permit. You will not be left to work it out alone.
What happens after you book? Step by step
Once you book, we handle the visa and hotels, help you set up Nusuk, send your full itinerary, and stay reachable before and during your trip.
For first-timers, here is exactly what to expect:
- You book and pay through our secure, ATOL-protected portal. Instalment options are available.
- You send your documents (passport, photos, vaccine proof). We check them.
- We confirm your hotels and submit your visa. Visa processing usually takes a few working days.
- We help you register on Nusuk for your Umrah and Rawdah permits.
- We send your full itinerary: flights, hotel names and addresses, transfer details.
- You travel. Our UK team is reachable by phone and WhatsApp 7 days a week while you are away.
If anything changes or goes wrong on the ground, you call us. That support is the difference between a real agency and a cheap online deal.
First-timer's guide: the Umrah rituals and what to pack
Umrah takes about 2 to 4 hours and has four main steps: Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i, then Halq or Taqsir. Pack light, modest clothing and your Ihram garments.
The four steps, briefly:
- Ihram — you enter the sacred state and intention before passing the Miqat. Men wear two plain white unstitched cloths. Women wear modest plain clothing that leaves the face and hands uncovered.
- Tawaf — seven circuits around the Kaaba.
- Sa'i — walking seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah.
- Halq or Taqsir — men shave or trim their hair, women trim a small amount. This completes the Umrah.
A simple packing list:
- Ihram garments (bring a spare set)
- Comfortable sandals or slip-on shoes (easy to carry)
- A small bag for your shoes inside the Haram
- Unscented toiletries (scented products are not allowed in Ihram)
- Modest, light clothing for the heat
- Your medicines, a refillable water bottle, and a power bank
- A printed copy of your itinerary and hotel address
If you are unsure about any ritual, our team can talk you through it before you fly.
Travelling with family, elderly or disabled pilgrims
Yes, we arrange family and accessible Umrah trips, including wheelchair help through the Haram, folding beds for infants, and rooms within easy walking distance for those who can't walk far.
Tell us who is travelling and what they need, and we plan around it:
- Families: family rooms, hotels near the Haram, and assistance with children's documents.
- Elderly pilgrims: rooms near the Haram to reduce walking, ground-floor or lift-accessible hotels, and wheelchair assistance.
- Less mobile pilgrims: wheelchair support for Tawaf and Sa'i can be arranged.
- Infants: folding beds and suitable rooms on request.
The earlier you tell us, the better we can plan it. These things are hard to fix at the last minute.
Which UK Airport have direct flights to Jeddah/Madinah
We book flights from across the UK, with direct routes to Jeddah and Madinah where they exist. A direct flight takes about 6 to 7 hours.
- London (Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted): direct flights with Saudia and British Airways.
- Birmingham and Manchester: direct and one-stop options with Saudia, Turkish Airlines, Emirates and Qatar Airways.
- Glasgow and Edinburgh: Connecting flights through the main hubs.
Prefer to break the journey with a stopover in a Muslim-friendly city? We can arrange that too.

Can I apply for the Umrah visa myself?
For the traditional Umrah visa, no. It is arranged through a licensed agency. UK citizens may also be able to use a Saudi tourist eVisa, and we can advise which route is best for you.
How long is an Umrah visa valid?
It depends on the visa type, but an Umrah visa can be valid for up to 90 days. We confirm the exact validity for your visa before you travel.
What is the cheapest month to perform Umrah?
The months outside Ramadan and Hajj are usually cheapest, especially the weeks after Ramadan and the autumn, when demand and prices are lower.
How early should I book?
Around 2 to 3 months ahead for off-peak trips, 4 to 6 months for Ramadan, and 4 to 5 months for December and winter holidays. Booking early means better hotels and lower flight prices.
How do I know an Umrah agency is genuine?
Check their ATOL number on the CAA website at caa.co.uk and confirm the company name matches. Ask for the ATOL Certificate in writing, and make sure your flights, hotels and transfers are all listed on it. Avoid agents who only operate through WhatsApp or social media with no licence or office.
What documents do I need?
A passport valid for at least 6 months, recent photos, your travel dates, and proof of your MenACWY vaccination. We check and submit everything for you.
Do I need any vaccinations for Umrah?
Yes. Saudi Arabia requires the meningococcal MenACWY vaccine, and you must bring proof. Get it from your GP or a travel clinic before you fly.
Can women perform Umrah without a Mahram?
Yes. Under current Saudi rules, women of any age can perform Umrah without a Mahram and can travel and stay independently.
How long does it take to perform Umrah?
The rituals take about 2 to 4 hours, depending on how busy the Haram is. This covers Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i, and Halq or Taqsir.
How many days do I need for an Umrah trip?
Most UK pilgrims travel for 7 to 14 nights. Seven nights is enough to perform Umrah and visit both cities. Ten to 14 nights gives a more relaxed pace with extra prayers and fuller Ziyarat. We offer 7, 10, 12 and 14-night packages.
What is Ihram, and what do I wear?
Ihram is the sacred state you enter before Umrah, and the simple clothing worn in it. Men wear two plain white unstitched cloths. Women wear modest plain clothing that covers the body but leaves the face and hands uncovered. You must be in Ihram before passing the Miqat.
Are direct flights available?
Yes. We offer direct and one-stop flights from major UK airports to Jeddah and Madinah, depending on your city and dates.

Yes. We can arrange wheelchair assistance through the Haram, rooms close to the Haram to reduce walking, and lift-access hotels. Let us know in advance so we can plan it.
How close to the Haram will my hotel be?

Are meals included?
It depends on the package. Some include breakfast, others are room-only so you can choose where to eat. We confirm the meal plan before you pay and can arrange specific dietary needs.
Can I combine Umrah with a stopover in another city?
Yes. We can add a stopover in a Muslim-friendly city such as Dubai, Istanbul or Cairo. Tell us your plans and we will build it in.
